Namibia Self-Drive Safari

Starting in Windhoek and finishing at Etosha, this 10-day, self-drive itinerary allows you to explore Namibia’s Red Sand Dunes and Damaraland before heading north to world-renowned Etosha National Park for a few days of game viewing.  We carefully plan this itinerary to avoid driving huge distances and we hand-picked all the lodges where you will overnight.

  • Day 1: Johannesburg / Windhoek

    Flight from Johannesburg to Windhoek Airport.  Transfer to your lodge in Windhoek for overnight.

    Stay: The Weinberg Hotel (Courtyard Upper Level)

  • Day 2 & 3: Windhoek / Sossusvlei

    Distance & time: 362km / 04h30

    Your 4x4 Toyota Fortuner SUV will be delivered to your hotel early morning.  Self-drive to Sossusvlei. Day 3:  Full day to explore the Sossusvlei area.

    Stay: Namib Desert Lodge (Standard Room)

  • Day 4 & 5: Sossosvlei / Swakopmund

    Distance & time: 358km / 05h00

    Drive to Swakopmund. 

    Day 5: Full day to explore the Swakopmund area.

  • Day 6: Swakopmund / Damaraland

    Drive from Swakopmund to Damaraland and explore the area.

    Drive from Damaraland to the Etosha National Park.
